Hello 2019!  It’s a BIG year for us as this August will  be our 10th annual peace camp! Yay!!

As part of our celebrations, we’ll be launching a fresh look. So…..we’re looking for new, young talent to showcase.  It could be you!  See below for more info. Winner will be announced May 1, 2019 and receive a prize of US$200 and a trip to peace camp!

CONTEST RULES

YOU MUST be between the ages of 16-30 years old  AND currently living in one of these countries:  Burundi, DR Congo, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda.

Entry Deadline:   March 31, 2019

Design MUST be your own, original work.

Email high resolution, at least 3 MB, JPEG format; and include:

– Your full name

– Your birth date (month, day, year)

– Your country of birth and current country where you live

– Your cell # (or other contact #)

Organization name:   A Peace of Life

Tag line: We are peace

Overview of organization/target audience: We encourage and empower youth in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. Our major program is an annual peace camp to develop and mentor youth to be leaders of social change. We believe there’s an important spiritual component in being a peacemaker, inner peace, that changes the way we respond to conflict and injustice. We value and pursue Dignity, Understanding, and Compassion in action. We promote arts, sports and games in peacebuilding; and youth social enterprise.

How we want to be known: Entrepreneurial. Hope-full. Peace-full. Youth-full. Creative. Catalysts of real change in, and through, youth, as we help them to develop into ethical, compassionate leaders and peacemakers.

Some ideas to consider in your concept:  

Logo must present “peace” in a unique way!

Key qualities we’d like to convey: strength, compassion, courage, togetherness.

Ideally also include an element(s) of “the arts” in the region with your own fresh twist!
